Erotica Contest - Or What a Girl Really Wants

I've always been a huge fan of contests (of all sorts). Not that much because of the prizes the organizers dangle in front of you on a honey-string, no. My excitement has nothing to do with the money or the fame that's involved. Okay, fine, it does, but just a tiny part. I don't even have to win (or not necessarily), for it to give me a special buzz.

The bigger motivation for me is the rush of adrenaline, the feeling that your work needs to be one of a kind in order to succeed. You put extra effort and sweat into the project, never taking your eyes off the goal. It motivates you, but also drives you towards self-discovery and a higher level of self-expression. You compete against others, but instead of trying to be better than them, you will (albeit unconsciously) try to become better than your own self.

And thus you create something special, something unique and specific to the task at hand. And then you wait, and then wait some more. And before you know it, the winners are announced, and you keep wondering where that time has gone. And when you finally realize that the whole thing is over, you will be craving for the next one. And thus, a whole new journey starts. But you will never forget your first, when you lose your 'contest virginity'.

And neither did I, although for me, there is another first coming right now. I still remember my first writing contest, which was in Primary School. There were 40 contestants, and we all had to write about the same topic: graduation. We had to say goodbye to our fellow students, in a heart-warming way. Well, I'm still proud of my achievement, because (guess what?) I won. I recall the feeling when I stood up in front of 5,00 people, reciting my lines. I felt like I was the queen of the Universe! Nothing and nobody could stop me. But, just as I said, the feeling was gone, and with it the rush of adrenaline. However, my love for writing stayed with me, albeit dormant for a long time.

There were of course many contests to follow, and I think I did pretty well in them. I vaguely recall a poem I wrote for one, and a short story for another. But they weren't that significant, because only one of them could be the ultimate first. Or so I thought. And yet, never in a million years would I have imagined that I will once feel the same way as I did the first time. True, the excitement is always there, but right now, that I've sent in my material for another contest, the familiar feeling returned. And, I guess, this is another first, if there is such a thing.

So, what's different this time? Well, a number of things. First of all, while before I was an innocent kid, who knew nothing about the world, now I am a grown-up woman, who writes steamy erotica. And, if you haven't guessed already, that's what the contest is about: hot, kinky, naughty erotica. Which wouldn't be such a surprise in itself, especially considering my promise to create a new erotic story every week. So, in a way, it is nothing special. Okay, I think at this point I should mention the topic, which was a major turning point for me.

Hotwifing. Swinging. I thought, wow, could I possibly do this? With no experience whatsoever, what chances do I have? But you know what? I thought that if I could evolve so much during the past year, then I can surely try my hands out on this one. And guess what? As soon as I came up with the plot, it couldn't have been easier - and more natural. I saw all events clearly, as if they truly happened. Just like any of my stories before. I think I learned something really important today, something I'm going to share with you.

Just because you don't know something, doesn't mean you shouldn't look into it. If others can do it, then why can't you? Nobody started anything by knowing it inside out, right? It's all a learning process, and as much as contests are for winning, they are also for realizing what you can do. Sometimes you just need to push yourself hard enough (no pun intended), and test your limits. Once you realize that they only exist in your own mind, you become free.

I was told that the story turned out really good, and it is a fun read. I sure as hell enjoyed writing it down! It's a story about two couples, two hours to spare and one elevator. Because, if you and your partner are stuck in an elevator with another couple, what could be a better way to spend that time, other than swinging?
